Lunch today was at the Cactus Club on the waterfront. We met up with Sara (Blakeway) Doole, another ex student of St Francis Xavier. Sara is a friend of Kathy's daughter, Tessa and was in my class in Year 7.
We had a lovely lunch, learning of Sara's life in Vancouver where she works and lives with her partner, Brendan Klumpp.
As we were walking down the street of Vancouver after lunch, a very excited young girl ran up to us. It was Deanna Klumpp! She is currently living with Brendan and Sara and working in Vancouver. Deanna had been having a coffee and had seen us walking past! She didn't know we were meeting Sara for lunch so was very surprised and excited to recognise us walking past. (I taught Deanna in Year 7 and Kathy taught her in Year 1.)
