After a delicious brekky (included) we departed for Revelstoke. As usual we experienced spectacular scenery along the way. At one point we stopped for road works for 15-20 minutes. Drivers turned off their cars and got out to do stretching exercises! Those with dogs took them for a walk. We just opened the windows and turned the car stereo up loud and sang!
Judy is in charge of the music, with her ipod. We have Judy's Juke Box playing each day. Lots of golden oldies: Paul Kelly, Beatles, Eagles, Neil Diamond, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Mondo Rock, Daddy Cool, Adele (Rolling In ............. The Deep) and others. We're loving it!
We stopped briefly at a tiny place called Field where we visited a pottery studio and met a huge 7 month old puppy that was a husky/wolf dog cross.
A detour was made to Takakkaw Falls, up a winding road into the hills.
From there we drove to Golden to have lunch in a gorgeous little cafe (Whitetooth Mountain Bistro).
Then it was back on the road, accompanied by Judy's Juke Box, to head to Revelstoke.
This hotel (Coast Hillcrest Hotel) is about 3km out of town so we haven't actually seen Revelstoke yet. Once we'd checked in, we donned our togs and enjoyed the heated spa on the hotel's back deck, overlooking the bushland below with snow capped mountains in the background.
We ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant and are ready for bed at 9.00pm after another wonderful day!
