From the Gondola we drove to Moraine Lake, just near Lake Louise. The number of cars parked along the road because the car park was full was crazy. But with Mary's help, we found a car park close to the lake, no trouble at all.
Moraine seems much larger and is a different colour. There were canoes on the lake and an endless stream of tourists at all vantage points on the edge of the lake.
Again, the imposing ice capped mountains were incredible. We walked along the lakeside trail, taking photos as we went.
Hikers going further into the bush must do so in groups of at least 4 to ward off bears!
We saw squirrels and a mule deer, but no bear.
