SKAGWAY, ALASKA

We had to set alarms this morning to ensure we'd be up in time to explore Skagway.  We ordered brekky in our cabin, which worked really well.

We disembarked and walked into town to browse through the shops. Weather is quite cool, probably about 8°C. Our tour left the dock at 11.30am. We boarded a minicoach with Doug our driver and were taken to the railway station to board the train to take us to the White Pass & Yukon Route.

The scenery on the train ride was incredible as we wound around mountains passing waterfalls and sheer rocky drops down to swiftly flowing rivers.

We crossed the border into Canada to stop at Fraser B.C.

The ride back down was in the minicoach with Cowboy Doug who stopped at many photo vantage points along the way.

A late lunch was at Skagway Brewery before a short walk to the Skagway Public Library to find some WiFi.

Once back on board we decided on an early dinner followed by a show. The singers and dancers do a brilliant job - so professional.  The show was about bayou music. The good thing is we knew a lot of the songs!
