Today is our final day on the ship as we sail south to Vancouver, so it was a late sleep in (as we turned clocks an hour forward last night).
After brekky we browsed the on board shops where Judy bought some things and we purchased some duty free alcohol. We weren't fussed about the on board activities so after returning our purchases to the cabin we headed back to the buffet for a late lunch.
The big event for today will be packing our bags in readiness for our arrival in Vancouver tomorrow. We disembark at 9.30am to catch a taxi to collect the hire car to begin the next phase of our adventure.
I (Kaye) have caught a cold so am feeling a little lousy but with Aspirin and Claritin (Clarityne) am managing to keep the symptoms under control (sort of)!
One of today's highlights was meeting our waiter, Milton, at breakfast. Milton is from India. He lives in Goa! Again, this is one for the SFX readers, as Goa, India, is where the body of St Francis Xavier is located.
Milton proudly showed us his photograph of the intact body of St Francis Xavier, taken last year when it was last on display. Milton lives beside the church! Kathy said she had plans to visit Goa next year, so Milton gave her his address and phone number!
Part of today's festivities was the release of gold balloons in recognition of Princess Cruises ' 50 years of cruising. Robert Pigden was front and centre, leading the celebration!
No shows tonight so after dinner it was back to the cabin for a reasonably early night, our last night on the ship.
