Once off the boat it was a 15 minute coach ride to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Centre.
The glacier was spectacular! Viewing was from the Visitor Centre, across the lake to the glacier. Large icebergs were floating down the river, dwarfing tourists in a boat getting a closer look.
The Visitors Centre had telescopes to view the glacier and it was a short walk down to a viewing point that provided magnificent views of Mendenhall Glacier and a spectacular waterfall.
